Saturation would be easier to rate if I had some scientific way to measure dye concentration. Sadly, it's just me eyeballing it. So here are some examples from my idea of a super saturated ink to a dull and chalky ink. Of course, I may be mistaking a brilliant hue or tone for the actual dye density, but here are some examples:

This isn't a way to estimate the dye concentration, but it's helpful nonetheless. Diluting the ink more and more would be the right way, to estimate the concentration, but this doesn't matter anyway. It's much more important how it looks on the paper, and this test is pretty handy.
